FLOOD 2024 INFORMATION

UPDATES AS OF JUNE 27, 2024:

The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, WTN Emergency Management, WTN Physical Resources, WTN Administration and Tribal Council have been meeting continuously regarding the flooding situation along the Missouri River and adjacent areas. Here is some important information for the tribal membership.
1. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE RIVER BOTTOM! The entire area is dangerous and should not be approached or even attempted. You will endanger yourself and others if you ignore this warning.
2. WinnaVegas Casino Resort announced the Casino will reopen effective Thursday, June 27 at 4pm and the Hotel will reopen Friday, June 28 at 8am. Woodbury County officials recently approved reopening K35/330th St. allowing resort associates and guests to access the property.
5. Any tribal members who are impacted by the flooding should contact WTN Administration or WTN Human Services Department. Various forms of assistance may be available to you and your family, if you were DIRECTLY impacted by the flood. Call 402-878-2272 or email: [email protected]
6. Well water heads and other water resources will continue to undergo monitoring to ensure safe drinking water standards throughout the duration of the flooding and beyond.
7. If anything changes, we will contact you with further information as it comes about.
