Reports indicate that approximately nine hundred individuals are actively being treated with diagnosed Asthma at the Twelve Clans Unity Hospital. New industries are in operation and growing in the area surrounding the reservation that poses a threat to air quality of tribal membership and community.
The Tribe’s goal of having an Air Quality Specialist is to improve the Tribe’s capacity to fully address air quality through training, monitoring, prevention/education and outreach.
