Mission:

The mission of the Winnebago Tribe Planning and Development Department, with direction from the Tribal Council, with organizational consultation and community input communicates and supports a shared vision of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska by: creating and maintaining a coordinated and comprehensive strategic plan that inspires and guides the Tribe’s general plan, departments, programs, projects and initiatives to improve the quality of life of tribal members and residents of the Winnebago reservation; maintaining current and historical census, economic, health, and judicial data; and leveraging tribal funds through grants and contracts to support programs, projects, and initiatives.

Core Values:

As a department and individually we value the opportunity to collaborate through an open and respectful dialogue with integrity and efficiency using consistent language that is clear and comprehendible as we educate our community about our work and learn from them their vision for the Tribe and community. At all times we strive for fairness as we embrace innovation and passion that embraces our extraordinary setting, unique heritage, vibrant community, and aspirations of our population. Internally, as a team, we support one another with intellectual inspiration, creativity, and professionalism to ensure employee satisfaction in the work we do.
