Otoe-Missouria Day

Located at Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center – Wildlife Refuge in Denton, NE
The public is invited to the third annual Otoe-Missouria Day.
Events open to all:
• 2-3pm – Hand Game – A traditional guessing contest played with beaded sticks and two teams while singers provide music.
• 3-5pm – Elder’s Talking Circle – Otoe-Missouria elders will be leading a talking circle for young people to ask questions and learn in a safe environment.
• 5-6pm – Dinner (RSVP required)
• 6-8pm – Dances, drum groups, talks, proclamation reading
The event is free, but the public (non-Otoe-Missouria) should RSVP HERE as space is limited.
