HoChunk Language Early Childhood Books

Through partnerships with Midwest Native American Language Resource Center at Little Priest Tribal College and the Unite for Literacy Organization we have 10 Early Childhood books available to the students at Educare Winnebago that are translated in the HoChunk language. Come join us as we launch the first two books of the set and learn how to access the online narration with proper pronounciation of all 10 books.
Each family that attends will receive a copy of two books to take home.
A special reading will take place by our tribal elder, Velma Alaniz who will read the “Do you know Buffalo” in HoChunk. Velma was vital to this project success by translating and narrating the online books.
Located at Educare Winnebago.
A meal will be provided.
