The Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) gives financial assistance and/or services to families who are at risk of having insufficent income or resources. TANF enables families to stay together to care for their children and reduces dependency by highlighting job development, work and marriage.  Abstinence and formation of two-parent families are encouraged.

The Job Employment and Training (JET) Program creates opportunities for tribal members to gain employment and become economically self-sufficent.  Job placement opportunities and services in the JET Program include job preparation, employment, training, youth and childcare services, welfare assistance and senior employment. Educational and training resources are also available.  The program’s services and training will boost self-confidence and skillsets to help individuals return to the workforce.
