The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Project is a grant funded project that supports efforts to low-income Native American participants (ages 18+) in the Winnebago community that will fill high demand and/or high wage jobs in Winnebago, Nebraska. We are currently accepting applications from enrolled tribal members from ANY Federally Recognized tribe currently residing in Winnebago, Nebraska. Please note, if you plan to utilize the Higher Education Program, you are automatically ineligible for CTE services, since the services are very similar. You do have the choice to choose one of the other. For more guidance, please contact LaTeasha Bass, CTE Project Director or Rana Merrick, Higher Education Community Outreach Education Specialist.

  • St. Lukes College
  • Little Priest Tribal College
  • Northeast Community College

The CTE Project provides direct assistance to any eligible CTE participant. These assistances include:

  • Tuition assistance for up to $2,028
  • Childcare assistance
  • Milage for getting to and from class
  • Stipends for class attendance
  • Class supplies assistance
